It still baffles me that we live in a world where disabled parents are so frowned upon! In fact, my husband and I were told BY A DOCTOR, no less, that it was selfish of us to become parents. I can’t remember the number of times that someone has heard that I’m a stay at home mother and responded with something like, “Oh that’s wonderful! I didn’t have the luxury of staying home when I was working.” First off, there are definitely benefits of getting to stay home with my child. I see all of the beautiful moments and get to watch her grow and develop first hand. It’s the best!
This year has marked many new things and happy beginnings for me, but this is for those of you who are curious about life as of late.
