It's that time again; the Texas Renaissance Festival is back in town! Discover the family fun offered by Themed Weekends at RenFest. Good day Lords and Ladies! First of all, I apologize that I didn't get this post published sooner! Anyone who knows me well knows to look for me at the annual Texas Renaissance Festival. There is something about the Renaissance that I simply cannot resist. From archaic language to period costumes, I love joining in on the fun of honoring times past. If you are not familiar with RenFest, the Faire takes place on themed weekends lasting from September 30th to November 26th. Located at 21778 Farm to Market 1774, Todd Mission, Texas, 77363, the fairgrounds offer a variety of ways to participate. Themed weekendsThemed Weekends offer a variety of family fun opportunities and run throughout the course of the Faire. Food and Drink choices (see current menus), as well as Entertainment options, are extensive. You can even purchase special food and drink packages to enhance your experience - view details for the King's Feast and the King's Wine Tasting. Entertainment available includes famous knight battles, fireworks, games, giant swings, a maze, a petting zoo, live shows exhibiting stage and music arts (see the 2017 Entertainment Schedule), elephant and camel rides, dozens of shoppes and more. CampingAnother fun activity at RenFest takes place on the Fields of New Market Campground, where festivities continue into the evening hours. Whether you want to camp as a family, enjoy the luxury of a cabin, gain access to a VIP tent, or park your RV, there is a camp option suited to your needs. For patrons who want to extend their experience, after spending the day at the Festival, the Faire offers a 200 acre campsite where families can camp for only $25 per vehicle. Spaces are limited.** After DarkHosted every Saturday from 8pm-1am, After Dark events include a choice of four different bars (with food and cocktails), dancing with DJ Suave, a hookah lounge, live shows, and more. Admission to this exclusive themed experience is reserved for adults age 21 and older; for just $25-45 per person, you gain access to Hors d' Oeuvres and/or the Cash Bar. Plus, VIP suites are available for $75 per person and include:

School DaysThis year, the Texas Renaissance Festival is hosting its 13th Annual School Days on November 7th and 8th from 8:30am to 4pm!
