We want to know what you think about the idea of Family Event Crowdsourcing! Hello family-fond readers! I spoke with one of the administrators of the Cypress United Methodist Church's Pumpkin Patch, and she mentioned that it is rather difficult to locate family-oriented events in the area if you're from another state. I have an idea to ease this process, but I need your help! What is Family Event Crowdsourcing? Well, its my name for the idea to aggregate family-welcome events onto one website, where people can easily locate events in their area (or view events in other regions to which they might travel). These events would potentially be sortable by factors including but not limited to:
Sure, if you Google local events, you will discover numerous sites dedicated to events catering to a specific attribute (i.e. a particular holiday, a specific region, a limited date range, etc.); however, what if we could work as a community to add a variety of events not limited to just one domineering characteristic? With everyone working together, we could accumulate a comprehensive list of family fun activities. Plus, small and otherwise little-known businesses could input their upcoming events to maximize views.
